Desktop version of Nokia Maps in 3D (3D glasses required)

Nokia Maps for your desktop now lets to see the world in 3D, YES! with 3D glasses you can view cities and landscapes in a pretty cool 3D way.
you will need 3D glasses though if you want to enjoy the view.

This is powered by 3D webGL, which is Web Graphics Library, it is a JavaScript API for rendering interactive 3D graphics within any compatible web browser without the use of plug-ins. WebGL programs consist of control code written in JavaScript and shader code that is executed on a computer's Graphics Processing Unit (GPU).

WebGL is based on OpenGL ES 2.0 and provides an API for 3D graphics It uses the HTML5 canvas element and is accessed using Document Object Model interfaces. Automatic memory management is provided as part of the JavaScript language.

WebGL is currently supported on all the major browsers, that's Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer 9...

I have 3D glasses (which I won (ironically) from Nokia last year) and I have been able to activate the 3D mode for Nokia Maps (activate by pressing the 3D glass icon at the top right corner of the screen), but I do not see any difference, though I think you need a 3D supported monitor to view this, I'm not sure.

I couldn't get the 3D maps to lod up on IE9 or Firefox, but it works fine on my Google Chrome browser, so if you cannot get it to load up, try using it on Google Chrome browser.
