We have been hearing rumors that pre-orders for the Nokia Lumia 920 would begin today Oct. 21st, we all speculated At&t to begin taking pre-orders for the phone but it's an unlikely online retailer taking the pre-orders today in the US... BestBuy.
Yes, to everyone's surprise, BestBuy began taking pre-orders for the Nokia Lumia 920 and here are the pricing...
For the Lumia 920 for At&t (with a 2yr contract), you will pay $149
For the Lumia 920 without contract, you can pre-order now and get it for $599. (you will still need to get At&t to unlock it for you if you want to use it internationally)
The Phone is available in Red, Yellow, Cyan, Black and White.
Users who already pre-ordered are getting the message from BestBuy that the phone will be released this Friday, the 26th. I am going to interprete that and say the Lumia 920 will be shipped on Friday 26th for an Oct. 29th delivery date. after I did get tipped that Microsoft will start selling the WP8 phones immediately after they launch WP8.
$149 is a price that establishes the Lumia 920 on the same level with some of At&t or Verizon's top end Android phones, I think it is a good price, shows it is competing with the rest.
The "w/o contract" price of $599 came as a shock to me, it is actually cheap, considering the fact that the Nokia 808 PureView came out with a price tag of $699.
I am currently debating whether to get this with or without contract.
