The word on the blog street is that Nokia is working on a couple of tablets.
Nokia filed design patents for not 1 but 2 tablets way back in March of 2011.

My best guess is, given that these were filed way back in early 2011, they are most probably abandoned projects, as you can see the 2nd design is the Senna tablet (MeeGo) which Nokia was supposed to release along side the N9, and we all know how that ended.
I don't think there is any news here except for a couple of abandoned projects. Though Nokia is strongly rumored to be making tablets, I do not believe that tablets are a priority right now for Nokia, also, the tablet market is a much much competitive one, you are not just competing with Samsung, there is Acer, HP, Toshiba, but maybe on the future Nokia will, as their focus is on selling more and more WP8 phones
