Nokia Conversations just put up an interesting article about the design of the Lumia 900 and how it was built for the US consumer in mind.
All i can say is, if this phone was designed for the US consumer in mind? then Jamie Langford and the design team did an incredible job at achieving this goal; If you take a closer look, the US smartphone market is dominated by 4inch+ screens, faster processors, look and feel of the device.
The Nokia design team did a good job of taking all those factors and adding more to give the Lumia 900 a flat crystal clear screen, nice round the edges for a good grip and feel of the device, and don't forget the black/cyan polycarbonate unibody.
